App Locksmith
Reply within 24 hrs
App hacked, key leaked, or a bill you can't explain?

Something's wrong with your app. Let's stop it today.

I'm a software engineer who locks down apps built with Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, Replit and v0. I find how they got in, close it, and explain what happened in plain English.

Free 15-minute call first. If I can't help, I'll tell you, and it costs you nothing.

Paid up front once you've said yes. The goal is to have you locked down within 24 hours of starting.

I'm Nate Parker, a senior software engineer. I've taken three clients through live security incidents.

Do these three things right now

They're free, and they buy you time whether you hire me or not.

  1. Replace every secret key
OpenAI, Stripe, Supabase, anything in your settings. Make new ones and delete the old ones.
  2. Set a hard spending cap
Your AI provider and your hosting both have one. Set it low today. Raise it later.
  3. Don't delete anything
Logs and old code are how I find the way in. Wiping them hides the hole. It doesn't close it.

What I do once you book

  • Find the way in
I read the code, the database rules and the logs until I know exactly how it happened.
  • Close it properly
The hole gets fixed and tested, and I check for the same mistake everywhere else in the app.
  • Tell you what was touched
Which data, which accounts, how much money. No guessing.
  • Write it up in plain English
A short summary you can forward to customers, a co-founder or a lawyer.

How it goes

  1. You tell me what happened
Use the form below. I reply within 24 hours, usually much sooner.
  2. We talk for 15 minutes, free
I tell you honestly whether I can help. If I can't, I'll say who can.
  3. I get to work
You give me access, I lock it down, and you get the write-up. The goal is within 24 hours of starting.

Why it's $1,500

Freelance security consultant, hourly$144 average
This, flat, however long it takes$1,500

One price, whatever I find. No meter running while you panic, and no minimum engagement. If it takes longer than I thought, that's my problem, not your invoice.

Figures from freelance security consultant rates. Not my former prices: I have never charged them.

Who you're hiring

Nate Parker
Nate Parker
Senior software engineer

For five years I've built and defended the platform at a healthcare software company, where security is a large part of my job. I'm also the security engineer for a B2B software startup, and I've found real vulnerabilities in widely used open-source code. I've built, shipped and sold my own software too, so I know what it's like when the app is your income. You work with me directly.

Across my professional security work, not App Locksmith alone. The clients are under NDA, so no names, ever — including yours.

Fair questions

Can't I just ask the AI to fix it?
It wrote the hole. It will patch whatever you point at, but it can't tell you what it missed, and right now you can't either. Once I've found it, keep building with whatever tool you like. Read what happened when I had an AI audit real code.
Do I have to tell my users?
That depends on what was reached and where your users live. I'll tell you exactly what was exposed so you can decide, with a lawyer if needed. I don't give legal advice.
What access do you need?
Your code, your hosting dashboard and your database, read-only where that's enough. I'll sign an NDA if you want one.

Tell me what happened

A few sentences is enough. I reply within 24 hours, and usually within a few.

One or two sentences is plenty. We can talk properly on the call.

If this is happening right now, leave a number and I'll call you.

I reply within 24 hours, usually within a few. If your app is under attack right now, do the three steps above while you wait.
